Pilot review: Global Frequency
At this point, this pilot is not picked up by any of the networks, The WB passed on it.
Premise: A secret organisation with operatives all over the world, fighting crime together.
Personnel:
Michelle Forbes(!) - Miranda Zero, creator of Global Frequency
Aimee Garcia - Aleph, the multilingual 'hub' of the organisation
Jenni Baird - Dr. Katrina Finch, expert
Josh Hopkins - Sean Flynn, suspended cop and new recruit to GF
This pilot deals with a Russian guy who has a chip planted in his brain, but not a current day chip, he has a '70's Russian one: large. Global Frequency must stop him, before destroys an entire city.
Miranda Zero kicks serious ass trying to get more information, with the help of Aleph, sort of a Berkhoff/Marshall Flinkman crossover. New recruit Sean Flynn is in the wrong place at the wrong time, but his sense of duty takes over and works on solving the problem at hand, together with the very smart Dr. Katrina Finch.
This is certainly not a mainstream show, but I think it can find an audience, given the chance. Camerawork was good, although the colors were very dark. I guess that's normal for a show like this. Music: ok, but I think I heard a Bourne Identity/Supremacy theme in there.
